Measuring your blinds
How to Measure for Roman Blinds
Recess Mount (Mounting on the inside of window)
- Width Measurement: Measure at three different locations (top, center, and bottom) on the inside of the window from left to right. Measure to the closest millimeter. Deduct 7 to 10mm from the narrowest measurement. Round off the result to the closest 5mm and record this measurement as the Width.
- Height Measurement: Measure at three different locations on the inside of the window from the top of the reveal to the window sill. Measure to the closest millimeter. Deduct 10mm from the longest height. Round off the result to the closest 5mm and record this measurement as the Height.
These instructions ensure accurate measurements for a perfect fit of your blinds or curtains, considering potential variations in window dimensions.
Face Fix (Mounting on the outside of the window)
- Width Measurement: Measure at three different locations (top, center, and bottom) on the inside of the window from left to right. Measure to the closest millimeter. We suggest an overlap of 100mm on either side for privacy and light control. Add the overlap measurement to the largest window width measurement. Round off the result to the closest 5mm and record this measurement as the Width.
- Height Measurement: Measure at three different locations on the inside of the window from the top of the reveal to the window sill. Measure to the closest millimeter. We suggest an overlap of 100mm at the top and an additional 100mm at the bottom if required for optimal coverage. Add the overlap measurement to the largest window height measurement. Round off the result to the closest 5mm and record this measurement as the Height.
These instructions ensure proper coverage and control while considering privacy, light management, and potential obstructions for your blinds or curtains.
