Vacuum regularly. Professional carpet cleaning is recommended. For at-home cleaning, use a neutral carpet shampoo that is free from ammonia or any other harsh chemicals; avoid any shampoos that may leave a sticky residue. Do not use household detergents. Absorbent carpet powder and aerosol foam shampoo may be used; be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Steam-cleaning is recommended in conjunction with any of the above-mentioned methods for deep carpet cleaning. Avoid overwetting the carpet.
