Paying a pretty penny for something, only to have it break after a few months feels like the ultimate betrayal. These days, businesses seem to over promise and under deliver more often than not. And consumers are left to pick up the pieces and have to pay the price.

So, we do our best every day to stick to the promises we make — offer high-quality products at affordable prices as well as share tips and tricks to keep it in great shape. Which brings us to the reason for this article: How to maintain wooden blinds.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Microfiber cloths
- Warm water
- Dishwashing liquid or baking soda (for tough stains)
- Vacuum cleaner (soft brush)
You’ll want to start by closing the blinds and dusting it gently with your microfiber cloth. You can also use your vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment and low suction setting to get rid of dust. Once you’ve cleaned the front, flip the blinds to clean the back in the exact same way.
For more tough stains, you might need to use a wet cloth. Mix dishwashing liquid or baking soda with warm water for the solution. Be careful not to make the cloth too wet as the water might damage your wooden blinds.
More Tips and Tricks
It’s important to clean your blinds regularly. The longer you wait, the more stubborn the dust accumulation will become.
If you don’t have a microfiber cloth, you can use a clean sock. Simply pull it over your hand, dip it in the water and wipe your blinds.
If you take care of your blinds, it will last for decades.
